Personal Experience
Caresse Duru is an Associate Attorney at Mokolo Law Firm, focusing exclusively on immigration law. She earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School. While at Vermont, she served as a Student Clinician in the Family Law Clinic for two semesters, where she assisted in representing survivors of domestic violence, children, and families facing critical legal challenges.
During law school, Ms. Duru also gained hands-on experience through internships with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid and the Dallas County Public Defender’s Office. Prior to joining Mokolo Law Firm, she worked on matters involving family law and social security disability, experiences that deepened her understanding of the real-world impact the law has on people’s lives.
Today, Ms. Duru channels her passion into guiding clients through the complex and often overwhelming world of U.S. immigration law. She is committed to protecting families, advocating for immigrants’ rights, and providing compassionate, strategic representation. Her clients can trust that she approaches every case with diligence, empathy, and the determination to achieve the best possible outcome.
Outside the office, Ms. Duru enjoys reading, traveling, and exploring new experiences that broaden her perspective and fuel her dedication to serving others.
At Mokolo Law Firm, clients can count on Ms. Duru not only for her legal knowledge but also for her unwavering support as they pursue a path toward stability, opportunity, and a brighter future.
