Uzo J. Mokolo is the founder and principal attorney at Mokolo Law Firm, PLLC in Houston Texas. Mrs. Mokolo has had over 10 years of experience in the area of family and immigration law. She received a bachelor’s degree in Finance with a minor in Asian Studies at the University of Houston. Mrs. Mokolo received her Juris Doctorate degree from Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C. While in law school, Mrs. Mokolo served as a Student Attorney in the Fair Housing Clinic, where she represented impoverished D.C. residents. As a law student, Mrs. Mokolo also interned with several law firms in the Washington D.C. area, gaining extensive experience in Immigration Law and Civil Litigation.
Prior to Mokolo Law Firm, PLLC, Mrs. Mokolo was a founding partner of Kuteyi and Mokolo, a boutique divorce, family, and immigration law firm which proudly served clients in the Houston surrounding area, the United States, and globally for over 10 years.
Mrs. Mokolo is a passionate and fierce advocate for her clients. Mrs. Mokolo is committed to excellence and is recognized for her competency, ethical standards, and zealous advocacy of her clients’ interest.
Mrs. Mokolo is a recognized National Black Lawyers top 40 under 40 for the year 2020, and 2021 Super Lawyers Rising Stars Honoree. Mrs. Mokolo is married and is a mother of two toddler boys. In her spare time, she is an avid reader, crossfitter, and world traveler.
