Personal Experience

Uzo J. Mokolo is the Founder and Managing Attorney of Mokolo Law Firm, PLLC, a boutique law firm based in Houston, Texas, dedicated exclusively to Family Law and Immigration Law. For more than a decade, she has represented individuals and families throughout Texas, across the United States, and around the world, helping clients navigate some of life’s most challenging legal matters with confidence, compassion, and strategic legal guidance.

Since founding Mokolo Law Firm, Uzo has built a reputation for combining exceptional legal advocacy with genuine compassion. She has guided thousands of clients through difficult transitions involving divorce, child custody disputes, immigration matters, and family reunification. Her clients know her as an attorney who tells them the truth, develops practical strategies, and fights relentlessly to protect what matters most.

Uzo earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, with a minor in Asian Studies, from the University of Houston before receiving her Juris Doctor from the prestigious Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C.

While attending Howard Law, Uzo served as a Student Attorney in the Fair Housing Clinic, representing low-income residents in housing matters. She also interned with several law firms in the Washington, D.C. area, where she gained extensive experience in immigration law, civil litigation, and client advocacy—experiences that continue to shape her practice today.

As the founder and leader of Mokolo Law Firm, Uzo oversees a growing team of attorneys and legal professionals committed to delivering exceptional legal representation while maintaining the firm’s culture of accountability, innovation, compassion, and excellence. Although she leads the firm’s strategic vision and continued growth, she remains actively involved in representing clients in complex family law and immigration matters.
